Walter Bruce Willis (born March 19, 1955), better addressed by his stage name Bruce Willis, is a gifted American actor well known for playing a variety of roles.
He gained notoriety for playing David Addison Jr. in the television series Moonlighting. Still, he is best recognized for his dramatic and action parts in movies like Die Hard and The Sixth Sense.
Bruce Willis struggled with stuttering as a child and turned to stage performances to get over it. He worked various menial jobs before pursuing a career in acting because his family was blue-collar.
He struggled for a while as an actor before getting his first role in an off-Broadway production of Heaven and Earth. He entered the television industry by defeating 3000 other candidates to land the part of David Addison Jr. in the series Moonlighting.

Early Life & Education
Marlene Willis and David Willis gave birth to Bruce Willis on March 19, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, West Germany.
His mother, Marlene Willis, was German, while his father, David Willis, was an American soldier. He has two brothers, David Willis and Robert Willis, and a sister, Florence Willis, as his two younger siblings.
Bruce Willis‘ mother worked at a bank, and his father landed in New Jersey and started working as a welder and mechanic after being released from the army in 1957.
Penns Grove High School is where he attended. He struggled with stuttering, but playing on stage helped him overcome it. Bruce Willis, a well-liked student, was chosen to lead the student council.
Career
After graduating from high school, Bruce Willis started working menial jobs, which included time spent as a private investigator and a security guard at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant.
