Yo Yo Honey Singh is an Indian rapper, singer, music producer and actor. He was born Hirdesh Singh on March 15, 1983 in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. He attended the Guru Nanak Public school in Punjab. He later studied music at the Trinity School in Belvedere, London.
CAREER
Singh released his debut single “Glassi” in 2006 and was awarded the ETC Punjabi award for ‘Best Sound Design’ that same year. He’s currently signed to Mafia Mundeer Records. He released the album, International Villager, in 2011. The album featured the singles “Gabru”, “Brown Rang” and “Angreji Beat”, the latter of which was featured in the 2012 film, Cocktail. He’s produced songs for films like ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Boss’ and ‘Fugly’. Singh made his acting debut in the 2012 Punjabi film, Mirza – The Untold Story. His performance earned him the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Male Debut. He went on to play a lead role in the 2013 comedy film, Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22. His Bollywood fim debut was the 2014 film, The Xpose.
