Psychic Spectacular makes its way to Pokémon Go yet again. Here is everything you need to know about the event, including the tasks & rewards.

The Psychic Spectacular 2022 event makes its way to Pokémon Go once again. As always, the event will feature Psychic type Pokémon and they will be the focus point of all tasks and rewards. The event will also see the introduction of Mega Alakazam available in Mega Raids from 6th of September 2022 onwards.
While we will see the legendary Generation 3 Pokémon, Deoxys, the event will offer a higher frequency of Abra, Slowpoke, Ralts, Solosis, Kadabra and more to catch in the wild. Players will also have the chance to catch shiny Elgyem if they can put in the effort. With that let’s look at the field research tasks and rewards in the game.
Pokémon GO Psychic Spectacular - Field Research Tasks & Rewards
The Psychic Spectacular 2022 event will feature field research tasks. Upon completion, players will encounter Baltoy, Chimecho, Hypno, and Elgyem. Players should look out for interesting Psychic Pokémon to capture this week, because their frequency will be more during the event.
Here are all the field and timed research tasks and rewards in Pokémon GO:
Field Research
Field research are missions you can collect by spinning a PokéStop. It will involve various Pokémon, battles and more.
- Make five Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make five Curveball throws in a row - Chimecho encounter
- Spin five PokéStops or Gyms - Baltoy encounter
- Spin 15 PokéStops or Gyms - Hypno encounter
Timed Research
Unlike Field Research, the Timed counterpart is special. It has limited time under which the players need to complete the tasks.
- Make five Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make 10 Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make 15 Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make 20 Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make 25 Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make 30 Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make 35 Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
- Make 42 Curveball throws - Elgyem encounter
The Total Rewards you will get are Elgyem encounter, 30 Poké Balls, and 10 Great Balls.
