Kavat Genetic Code is an extremely rare resource in Warframe that is used to create Kavat’s in the incubation chamber, or as part of crafting the Khora Warframe. A Kavat Genetic Code can be purchased for five Platinum from the Market. You will need ten of them to create a Kavat, and nine of them to build Khora.

You acquire Kavat Genetic Code by scanning Feral Kavats on the Orokin Derelict Tileset. Capture missions in the Orokin Derelicts are good places to do this, as you can capture the target, then search the level for these hard to spot creatures. You have a twenty-five percent chance of getting Genetic Code if you scan one.

The Kavat’s are mostly invisible, appearing only as pale outlines, and will get angered and run from you if they take damage. As they are difficult to see, damaging them by accident is easy to do, so be careful about where you are attacking when you are trying to find them. It is also a good idea to remove your Sentinels weapon, as they will automatically attack the Kavats.

You will need to scan the Kavat to obtain some genetic code from it. If you have the improved Scanner that you can get from Cephalon Simaris, then you should ensure you have the Cross-Matrix Widget upgrade for it, as any successful scan has a chance to be counted as two scans.

Kavat Genetic Code is also affected by resource boosters, so if you have the booster that will double the number of resources you get from pickups, that will also make this a quicker process.

It is unlikely that you will get all ten genetic codes in one run, so don’t be put off it take a couple of runs to get them all.
